What Makes Orlando Movement Practice so different?
I've seen the healthcare system in action and in my eyes...it's broken. It doesn't serve you well.
I INTEND TO FIX THAT.
Insurance companies place too many restrictions on how physical therapists can help you, deductibles are rising causing increases in out-of-pocket expenses on top of rising premiums.
Even worse...most people are being sent down a road of unnecessary physician visits, reliance on medications, injections, and risky surgeries...
I also know what it's like to feel confused not only in healthcare, but in the fitness industry as well. There's too much information out there and it's getting harder to figure out what's right and what's wrong, much less what's right or wrong for you.
I'M HERE TO HELP YOU CONNECT THE DOTS.
My dream as a movement teacher and physical therapist is to become a pillar for health and longevity in the Winter Park and Orlando, FL communities through the teaching and practice of movement. I aim to produce students who are strong, mobile and resilient, able to engage individually and together in the process of skill development through deliberate and focused practice so they can live the life they were meant to live.
Alongside doctorate-level education in physical therapy, I use only the most effective tools for movement restoration and development drawing from numerous movement disciplines like strength training, gymnastics, parkour, and martial arts to develop humans who are able to learn faster, move free of pain or limitation, and become MORE comfortable and skillful in their movement with age instead of the achy, stiff bodies with which most settle.
This Practice merges ancient wisdom with current research to bring you proven methods to restore and expand mobility quickly so you can live and perform at your best, with longevity at the forefront of all goals.
This approach is heavily inspired, though not officially taught to me, by the works of thought leaders in movement development such as Ido Portal of the Ido Portal Method, Kelly Starrett of MobilityWOD, Gray Cook of Functional Movement Screen, Fighting Monkey Rootless Root, Erwan LeCorre of MovNat, CrossFit, Pose Method and more combined with universally applicable tools from movement disciplines such as martial arts, gymnastics, parkour, dance, and others.
Through this process pain finds relief, the inflexible become mobile, the stiff become free, the weak become strong, and the uncoordinated become skillful.
Born out of an extensive process of working through my own lengthy pain and injury list, I developed the Orlando Movement Practice through years of trying and testing just about every method under the sun, deepening knowledge through formal schooling and personal research with constant refinement of the application of these methods to myself and my students.
